Splice js return9/4/2023 It removes a slice, returns it, and optionally fills the gap with new elements. Description The splice () method is a mutating method. If no elements are removed, an empty array is returned. Here we can see that splice returns the array of removed elements: let arr 'I', 'study', 'JavaScript', 'right', 'now' // remove 2 first elements let removed arr. If only one element is removed, an array of one element is returned. The removed elements are returned as an array from the splice method call. Return value An array containing the deleted elements. The array returned by slice() returns a shallow copy, meaning that any references within the original array will just be copied over as-is, and won't allocate memory for completely new objects. The splice() method modifies the source array. One such method is splice, which allows you to insert and/or remove elements. Syntax: array.splice ( start,delete,element1,element2.) Parameters: start: It is a required parameter and represents the index from where the function start to fetch the elements.
